Christmas Memories 2008
It's hard to believe Christmas has come and gone already!! The boys couldn't wait for Santa to come! We are starting a new tradition that the one who hands out presents wears an elf hat. Marshall was all over that and wants to be the elf every Christmas!! He was a good little elf and selflessly handed out presents to others even when he himself didn't get one!! I was amazed! They received so many wonderful gifts which they will spend the rest of the year exploring! Half of them are still in boxes on the dining room table!!
Grandpa made each of the boys a treasure box to put little treasures in just like daddy had when he was a boy. In the treasure box Grandpa put a picture of their daddy from his mission, a toy snake, candy (ofcourse), and some baseball cards. Marshall noticed that daddy's treasure box had some rocks in it. Grandpa told Marshall that he would take him up in the mountains to get some rocks. As soon as we got home Marshall asked me if we could go to the mountains to get some rocks, and then when Kason came home he told him he could come with Marshall to get rocks and every cool rock he found he could give to Marshall!! I cracked up! So much for Kason getting his own cool rocks! Then Marshall continued to say that Briggy couldn't come. When I asked why he said, "because every rock Briggy sees he will pick up and say ball, ball, and then throw it, and mom, rocks are NOT balls!! Again I cracked up! What a guy!! Thanks again Grandpa, those boxes are priceless!!
I had to put the picture of the melting snowman with a missing nose up because I let them go outside around snack time and apparently the carrot looked appetizing!! Hilarious!!
Thank-you everyone for all of your generous gifts!! We love you and Happy Holidays!!

Snow Update...
This afternoon we went to McDonalds to run off some the kids' energy because it was too cold to go to the park. Bad idea. After the kids played around for awhile we noticed that the snow was starting to come down ALOT harder. It was a real blizzard!! We quickly left McDonalds and slowly drove home. It was unbelievable how much snow was coming down!! We made it safely home but couldn't make it up the driveway (hence the picture). It is really funny in retrospect.
Dad came home early because of the weather and built a snowman with the boys!! They LOVED the snow until their little feet froze!! We really weren't prepared for this weather at all!! They say they haven't had this much snow for 30 years!! The airport and the road to California are closed. There is no school tomorrow because of the snow, and TJ isn't sure if he's going to go in to work tomorrow or not!! Sadly, the weather forecast says the snow will be gone by Christmas.:( As for now, I am loving every minute of it!!
It snowed!!
While his brothers were snoozing, Marshall had fun playing in the snow!! Yes that falling white stuff is really snow!! :) His favorite part was catching it with his tongue!! The only other time I can remember snow here was a couple of years ago when it snowed during the night and then melted in the morning!! This is the first time we could play with it. When it hits the ground it melts, but it is coming down pretty hard so I guess there is a slight chance (very slight) that we might have a white Christmas, Yay!!!
