Halloween 2010

My apologies! I know it has been a while since Halloween but we have been so busy this month that the time just flew by.

Here are some of our favorite memories from Halloween...

Carving Pumpkins with the Christiansen family. Love those guys. This is our new tradition!

The final products.....

Helping out for Marshall's school Halloween party...

There is Marshall (Boba Fett) with some of his buddies from school.

This is him with one of his favorite buddies from school, Alex. These two were inseparable for the first few months of school. Alex broke his arm, and Mrs. Coe asked Marshall to be Alex's helper. Marshall loved it. He got to cut for him, help him wash his hands, etc. etc.

This is Alex trying to take Marshall's helmet off. There are very few pictures I have where Alex is not either lifting up Marshall or pulling on his costume etc. They are waiting in line for the parade.

Since I organized the Halloween party I dressed up as Padme from Star Wars to match Marshall's Boba Fett costume. The kids in his class loved it, and most new who I was!!

I don't know who had more fun, me or Marshall!! LOL!!!

Halloween Night....

Before we went trick-or treating we went to our friend's birthday/Halloween party. TJ and I dressed up as Fred and Daphne from Scooby Doo. Doesn't TJ make a great Fred?!

Brigham was a Jedi knight, Marshall was Boba Fett, Kason was Anekin, and Sylvie was a cute little lady bug who didn't even have to wear her antenna hat because of her hair!!

I have no idea what they are looking at here, but I thought it was a cute picture.
This was my favorite picture of Sylvie. Even though we went the night before Halloween since Halloween fell on a Sunday, we still got PLENTY of candy! We went to the trunk or treat and then over to "Mormonville" where plenty of people were handing out candy a day early. It was great. The kids loved it because on Sunday THEY got to give out the candy. They've NEVER done that before! I wish I had pictures, but I don't!! Happy Late Halloween!

Who Wants to Be A Jedi Knight?

Kason is 5! And we celebrated Star Wars style!!
There was a Star Wars Clone Wars movie on in the background which mesmerized the kids. It worked well for down time.

Clone Trooper buddies!
So, who wants to be a Jedi Knight?? Come get your robes and lightsabers!! Obi TJ will teach you how to use your weapons and defeat the dark side.

Everyone got a turn to fight Darth Vader! There are video clips at the end of the post.
Now who wants a piece of the dark side? This time you get to smash his evil head!!
Kason attempts to take on the dark side....

And his brother Marshall smashed it to smithereens! No other kids got a chance to hit it!

Kason was sad that he didn't get as much candy as the others. Luckily there were many friends who were eager to share!
The cake was an icecream cake from Dairy Queen. It was oh so yummy! Good against evil, do you get it? The kids loved the guys on top ot the cake!

Happy Birthday Kason! Make a wish!

Mmmmm cake!
He got lots of Star Wars presents. So fun!! Kason has the sweetest heart! He deserves a little spoiling!!

Here are some clips from the Jedi Training...... Jensen style...

What we've been up to...

We drove to Arizona to see Uncle Kevin and Aunt Britney. We love that they live closer to us now!!
The boys had a blast and Brigham keeps asking TJ and I when we are going to leave (We are going to Monterey in Nov. and they are going to help watch the kiddos) so that they can come play with him!!

This would've been a great pic if it was more in focus.

Lovin' our adorable sis.

singing "Book of Mormon Stories" completely out of tune while Marshall reads the words before school in the morning.

becoming a future Hannah Montana.
I could not get this in focus because of all her Hannah moves!!:)

Having fun with Babbie on her birthday.

We also went camping with the Christiansen's but I didn't bring my camera, so I have to wait to post pics from our trip. It was an awesome trip.

Tinytots

This year both Kason and Brigham go to tinytots. Brig goes Tues/Thurs. and Kason goes MWF. Kason is the biggest and oldest dude in his class. Despite my best efforts to get him into Kindergarten, his October birthday just would not allow it.

For now, Kason is loving tinytots!!

This is Briggy's first year of tinytots. He was a little nervous the first few times and wanted me to come in the class with him. But now he loves it!! Here he is on the first day with his teacher Miss Lisa...

For some reason he wouldn't take a picture in front of the tinytots sign, so I took one on the stairs going up to the gym. I think his nerves got the best of him that day! I was a little hesitant to see him go. He is my last little boy!!
After tinytots it was lots of love time for little sis! He missed that girl!!

Grandma in the hospital!

We had an unexpected trip to St. George when we heard of Grandma Gardner's heart attack. She is currently at her home but needs constant care. Babbie is still with her, helping to take care of her. We made it to see Grandma in the hospital. Sorry I cut off your head in this pic Bab, please forgive me!! Keep Grandma Gardner in your prayers!

My 1st Grader!

Today was Marshall's first day in first grade. This is him before we left for school...

And this was him in line at school with his new teacher Mrs. Coe. He was soo nervous!
I went to check on him at lunch thanks to Babbie and Grandpa watching my kids. His buddy Wyatt in the picture below is in his class which helped calm his nerves. He was much calmer at lunch but he told me that he wanted to go home. He isn't quite used to all day yet. I've got to admit I did get a little emotional last night when I was packing his lunch. All day is long for mom too!!

Sylvie is 1!

This cute little thing just had her one year well check. She is 18 lbs, 4 oz., and in the 10th percentile. She is 29 inches/26%tile. Her head is 18.25 inches/79th%tile. Healthy as can be. In fact, she was NEVER sick her entire first year of life!! I love that she is petite because I feel like a still have my baby!! I have a huge post in the works which includes her B-day party, and many milestones. I've been having technical difficulties with a video I am trying to upload. For now, hopefully this picture will suffice!! Love, Love, Love this girl!!!!!
