Aunt Kari and UncleTerry

We had such a blast this past week with Aunt Kari and Uncle Terry!
They spent every waking moment with the kiddos and spoiled them rotten!! We did all kinds of fun things like Werley's mine and we went to the secret garden and saw the lions, dolphins and tigers (I don't have pics of that one:() Marshall was mesmerized by the dolphins and Brigham's favorite part was the lion peeing!! Kason liked eating the custard!

Werley's mine was awesome. The kids got a little scared when they turned out all the lights in the mine and told ghost stories, but other than that, they loved it!!Kari and Terry did a good job keeping up with the kids and all of their energy! Brigham is still singing his "I love Aunt Kari, she loves me song!!
Kason and I were just getting over strep throat when they came. Good Timing! Good Times!!

Red Rock Canyon

The day before Valentines day TJ surprised our family and took us on a hike through Red Rock Canyon. I have been telling TJ how badly I wanted to go on a hike with the boys so he planned this for us!! On the way there I was trying to figure out where he was taking us. I LOVE surprises!! Was it the Shark Reef? Was it miniature golfing? The closer we got I was sure we were headed to Bonnie Springs. Much to my surprise and excitement almost an hour later we arrived in the absolutely breathtaking red rock canyon!! Who knew Nevada was beautiful??!!

The hike was supposed to be meant for children and the elderly. Well...we must have taken the wrong path because we were slipping and the kids were sliding down gravel and rocks the whole way!! We even had to walk through a couple little streams to get to the sought after waterfall!! Yes, there are seasonal waterfalls in Nevada!! We were lucky because it had just rained a couple days before our hike!!

Marshall was a champ and led his brothers through the rough terrain!! At the end of the hike Marshall wanted to go on another hike!!! Kason wasn't feeling 100% which may be why he was NOT so sure footed, but he still LOVED getting to the waterfall!! Brigham only needed to be carried through the streams and made it most of the way without being carried. Sylvie slept most of the way in her carrier!! The weather was BEAUTIFUL!! It was an AMAZING day!! Thanks to an AMAZING TJ!!

We made it to the waterfall. Yeah!!!

Proud,
proud,
hikers!!
