Temple Night for FHE

So lately Marshall has been really interested in temples. Probably because that is the theme in primary this month and also because TJ and I go once a month switching off babysitting with our good friends the Christiansens. Anyways on Sunday he asked me if we could get a book which showed all the temples, luckily we had one. He spent most of the morning looking at it before church and he had all kinds of questions. He mostly wanted to know which temples daddy and I had visited, it was sooo cute! I love how he loves the gospel already!! Sometimes he will go in his room and just read the Book of Mormon (ofcourse he is really just looking at the pictures) but he really LOVES it!!

Because of this new interest in temples we decided to go to the Las Vegas temple for FHE. On the way to the temple Kason asked in a VERY excited tone "Will Jesus be there", it was just too precious!

Well, we knew it was closed on Mondays but we didn't realize all of the gates would be closed too! It's not exactly a hop, skip and a jump away!! Oh well, we were still able to show them the angel Moroni and atleast they got to see the temple up close. We will have to go back again when the gates are open! It was still a neat experience for the kids!!

Alien Sighting

We went to an alien party and it was "out of this world"!

Brig would NOT put on the alien wig!

We tried to give the boys spiky alien hair, but that didn't last long. They had too much fun in the pool! There were cool UFO's that lit up and you could throw them in the water. It was so much fun for the kids! Then, when it got darker, they brought out a ton of balls that glow in the dark -too much fun!!

Marshall made friends with the aliens quickly! He bounced with them in the bounce house and even danced with them!! It was hilarious!

Ah, our little aliens!!:)

Remember To Be Continued...

Well, toting Marshall on the back of the stroller obviously took its toll on our stroller. Though it was fun for a while, all good things must come to an end some time right? Anyways, much to his disappointment he had to walk through the parks, or should I say be carried through the parks!
The wheel fell off completely and we were getting a little nervous! Luckily daddy was able to fix it enough to last the remainder of our trip. Yah daddy!

Summing it all up

We all LOVED the beach, and we are still finding sand in Brig's nose!!

The Beach

Ah the beach!! So fun and relaxing. I didn't realize how much I missed the beach until I heard the sound of the crashing waves and that distinct beachy smell!!

Marshall's favorite part of the beach was throwing things into the wet sand and watching the strong waves take them away. He got very excited about this!!

It was difficult to get his whole name in the picture, but you get the jist!!:)

Kason loved making sand castles and running around the beach with Marshall!

Brig's famous point! Oh how we love that point!

Fishy Seaworld

We saw the dolphin show and the shamoo show. They were amazing to see but a little too long for our guys. We left both shows early to go watch the fish. Legoland is definitely more child friendly than Seaworld. You can't bring food into Seaworld and the kids weren't big enough to go on any of the rides. Needless to say Legoland was our favorite, but we are still glad we went to Seaworld. Marshall wants to go back to get Shamoo toys to decorate his bed!

Catching starfish was a highlight of Seaworld. Hands on and getting dirty is what my boys like! Marshall wanted all starfish to be rightside up. Being upside down really bothered him! Only problem was they needed mom to get the starfish for them, man that water was like ice!! Anything to make my boys happy!:)

Seaworld

When we first walked into Seaworld there was a guy carrying a baby alligator. It was fun for the boys to touch it!

The flamingos were a hit. Notice Marshall on the back of the stroller - this is how he was toted the first few days, but then that changed...To be continued.:)

This is us in the fat mirror. The boys got a kick out of this!!

The boys always love the penguins (that is what they are looking at here.) We took Marshall to Seaworld when he was 1 and they were his favorite then too. Grandpa and Babby gave the boys $20 to spend on what ever they wanted and Marshall chose the penguins and the sharks to decorate his bed.

Legoland Returns....Again!

Brig is so fearless! He would only go down the slides head first!!

Such a neat place!! We decided to come twice and forgo our plans to go to the San Diego Zoo!

This was Kason's favorite thing at Legoland. You shoot the frog with water and the frogs move upward while ribbiting!! We spent atleast 45 mins here!

Legoland Returns

They look scared to be in a shark made out of legos mouth, don't they?!

This ride was a blast if you didn't mind getting wet! Another reason legoland is so cool is that they have what is called a child swap. Translation- Dad rides with the boys and then mom can without waiting in the long lines. Isn't that cool? Again, I LOVE legoland!

The boys loved the airplanes!

This ride was one of the best rides at Legoland. It is the Indiana Jones ride for little guys! You shoot targets with a laser gun and you get points. I tried to snap a shot of them when they were on the ride but it was blurry, so here they are at the entrance.

Legoland

Legoland was amazing! Everything was made out of Legos! Marshall and Kason could go on most of the rides, and Brig could go on some too!! We ended up liking it so much that we got a year pass. We are Legoland fans!!

There was a huge play area where they had everything from a police station to a hospital. Obviously the boys spent alot of time here and had a blast!! One really cool thing about Legoland is you can bring food into the park which is so convenient and you save tons of money!!

This is the fire truck ride. Luckily they were in last place so I could snap a shot! Poor TJ didn't have much help. Oh wait, there is legoland guy there to help them cross the finish line!!

I still have lots of pictures to post but it wouldn't let me post more than 4 at a time for some reason!! Lots more pictures are coming - don't worry!

So when we came home our house was immaculate. I mean the floors were shining and we could actually see out the french doors! No we didn't leave it this way, TJ's amaziningly giving sweet dad cleaned our house and did our yard work while we were gone! Can you believe that! Not only did they let us use their time share which made the vacation but his dad cleaned our house from top to bottom. He even scrubbed the grout! I am still in awe! What a great surprise!! Thank-you soooo much. We love you guys!!

Headed to Cali!!!

Tomorrow we are headed on our first official family vacation to beautiful sunny California!! We are soooo excited!! f you ask Marshall where we are going he will tell you Legoland, the sea and California!! He is right on two accounts - we are going to Legoland, Seaworld and the San Diego zoo which are all in California!! The boys are dancing around the house singing to the tune of "California knows how to party" - CaliKason goes to Legoland, CaliBrother goes to see shamoo! It really is hilarious!!

Before we planned our trip to California we were going to go to Canada, but that is now cancelled. Marshall asked where Canada was, so I told him it was up north and pointed upward. He then innocently asked if Grandpa Schroeder could see him just like Jesus could because he lived above him!! Makes sense, right?! What a cutie!

Anyways, we'll be back next Friday and hopefully there will be many fun and exciting pictures to post!
