Down at the pig farm.....

We decided to go on a field trip to the pig farm with our pre-school class since we were learning about baby animals this past month. Marshall held the piglet and said it felt like pink cake. Who knows?! Kason and I steered clear of these little creatures. Kason said the piglet's mommy was too scary. He was right!! My favorite part was when Marshall took his hat off and put it on the piglet. Unfortunately I didn't get a shot because the poor little piggy was scared out of its mind so it didn't last long. Everyone got to see peacocks, chickens, roosters, geese, cows, goats, and pigs. If you ask Marshall what his favorite part about the pig farm was he will say it was when he got to throw rocks in the water -- funny guy!! Farmer Bob was so nice, he sent us home with a box of potatoes!!

Fun with Uncle Kevin!!

Uncle Kevin is in town!!! Yeah!!
Uncle Kevin is the coolest uncle ever and he has three adoring nephews to prove it!! Uncle Kevin brings them some kind of treat or toy every day, and, probably the best thing he brought us is peace island. Now, Uncle Kevin is not a daddy yet but he watches Nanny 911 and gets the BEST ideas!! The way peace island works is whenever the kids make a bad choice or get too agressive they GET to sit on peace island, think about what they have done, take a deep breath etc. After sitting on this blue fish rug, the goal is to feel happy and peaceful. Even mommy and daddy get to go there when they need a break!! It really is SUCH a great idea! Britney and Kevin are seriously going to be the BEST parents some day!! Uncle Kevin also introduced us to Wii sports and guitar hero!! What a blast!! I wish I had an action shot of TJ playing the guitar, he was awesome at it!! My favorite was tennis on Wii. If you haven't tried it you should!!

Easter Fun!!

This Easter we had fun decorating eggs. Ofcourse Briggy wanted to color an egg. So, thinking we were smart we gave him a fake plastic egg thinking that would solve the problem. Nope, he wanted the real thing so we obliged. Well he ended up destroying the egg and making a huge mess, but it was all worth it because he was happy!! Then on Sunday the Easter Bunny came and hid the eggs they colored. I thought they would be so excited to find the eggs, but that had to wait because they were so distracted by all the candy and scooby doo stickers. One of their favorite things was the silly string which they attacked me with while I took this picture!!

My favorite thing said this Easter was by Marshall. He asked if the Easter Bunny could see him and I said "yes, he is just like Santa." Marshall replied "Why does the Easter Bunny have a beard?!" I thought it was pretty funny!! Kids say the darndest things!!

They say it's my birthday, na, na, na, na, na, na!!

Thank-you to all of you who made my birthday so special!! My birthday started off with phone calls and flowers and muffins from my dearest friends and family. In the afternoon my sweet mother-in-law treated me to a manicure and pedicure while she watched my boys, thanks again!! During this time Grandpa fixed our broken van which was also a great B-day present!! Talk about being spoiled!! At night Babby and Grandpa had a sleep over with the boys so we could go out for dinner!! We love them and are sooo grateful!! Then for dinner more thoughtful presents and my amazing and sweet friend Natalie, who I am so sad is moving this weekend, put together the best birthday dinner I have ever had!! I casually mentioned to her that I wanted to go to the Melting Pot because I had never been there before and that would be a fun place to go for my birthday!! Well, not too long after that she had made reservations and sent out e-mails (there ended up being about 14 of us and we had a blast!! )The Melting pot experience starts with a cheese appetizer, followed by a delicious entree and a yummy dessert, all cooked on the burner you see up there!! It really was a neat experience!!

This is me and my sweet friend Natalie who set the whole thing up!! Man, am I going to miss her!!

Success on Craig's List and Ebay!!

About 3 weeks ago we went into Henderson and spent the day looking for a bike for Marshall. To make a long story short, we did not come home with a bike, and I have to admit, I was a little bummed. I was really anxious for Marshall to learn how to ride a bike with training wheels. Well, when we got home I got the feeling to look on Craig's list. Lo and behold there was not just one, but two bikes, so both Marshall and Kason could have one!! They were Mongoose bikes which are pretty expensive and they were only $25 for both of them!! They were at the end of the 215, and it was kind of a thug neighborhood. TJ thought they might have stolen them once upon a time!! Well, that wasn't our concern, we were so excited to get the bikes! When we got them home we realized Marshall's bike needed new pedals , training wheels, and they definitely needed to be cleaned
up!! Our sweet Grandpa surprised the boys and cleaned up the bikes so they looked just like new and he even got new pedals for Marshall's bike!! We love you Grandpa!! The only problem was not having the training wheels. I looked on e-bay and found brand new Mongoose training wheels and won for only $2.50!! I was pretty proud of myself, being a first-time e-bay purchase and all!! Anyways, the training wheels finally arrived (they came from Pensylvania), just this morning so we still need to put them on Kason's bike and Kason can't wait!! We have gone to the park a few times with Marshall riding his bike (Marshall is doing awesome on his bike, way better than we thought he would do!!) and Kason and Brigham in the stroller. Kason has no problem getting in the stroller with his little buddy Briggy. One time, when he wasn't ready to go, we told him he had to get in to protect his little brother. Right then, no questions asked, Kason raced into the stroller and put his arm around his little buddy!! Soooo cute!!

Saving the trees and stolen candy

When we went to the park for Mason's birthday, we saw Marshall playing with the garbage can. When his dad asked him what he was doing he said "I am taking these things (aka pine needles) off the tree so they don't get cold and windy. The garbage is safe because it isn't cold and windy." We thought that was hilarious!! How mad could I be that he was touching a disgusting garbage can when he makes a comment like that!!

Meanwhile, while Marshall was saving the trees, Kason stole Marshall's succor and was hiding under the picnic table so Marshall wouldn't be able to see what he was up to!! Does this picture look familiar or what?!!
