Yellowstone Trip: The Geysers

Mammoth hot springs was amazing!!
This is the boys patiently waiting for old faithful to spout off. It kept teasing us!

There she goes!! Old Faithful shoots so high up into the sky. I couldn't get a picture of the boys' faces because they were so mesmerized.

Daddy and Sylvie liked the geysers too!
There were geysers everywhere in all different shapes and sizes!
There were many beautiful waterfalls amidst all of the geysers!

We walked around the boardwalk and saw all of the geysers!
As great as the geysers were, the overall impression for the boys of this miracle of nature was...
TOO STINKY!!! "They smell like rotten eggs!"

Yellowstone Trip: Where it began!

We had the BEST family vacation we have ever had. I will be posting numerous entries of all of the fun things we did. To start things off, we stayed at my friend Becca's dad's house on the snake river in Rigby Idaho. Wow! They had 8 acres of land with the snake river in their back yard and a huge fort and zip-line (to distract kids from the river) in the front yard. It was a child's paradise and we hadn't even gone to Yellowstone yet!!

The moment we got there the kids blew the horn on the fort and started playing on the zip-line. Even TJ and I took a turn. It was awesome!! Brig took a turn with daddy (didn't get a picture of that).

I wish I could have captured the look on Kason's face when he went on the zipline for the very first time. It was pure joy!! This picture was taken after he had been on it ALOT!!

After playing around for a while we had a wiener roast.
We went on a hike through their yard, and took a rest by the canal.

Here we are with the Stillman family. They are the best! And, it made it even better that their kids are all around the same ages as our kids. We had some fun times! Can you believe Becca is having a baby in 6 weeks?! She is such a trooper!!

Hiking through the wilderness which was their back yard, crazy!!

Brig kept saying he was running through a jungle!!
Sylvie had fun on the hike too!!
Hanging out in the hammock, enjoying the peace of the river with my man!! This was my favorite spot!!
After church some of the boys got loose and decided to play around in the water that Becca's dad had used to irrigate. I had to take a picture of this! Church clothes and all!
After church we walked around the Idaho Falls temple grounds. It was spectacular!!

There is more to come...

Marshall is 6!!

I can't believe Marshall is already 6!! He is such a smart, fun little guy!! He is a hard worker who LOVES sports. He has just started being embarrassed lately. For example, he won't change in front of anyone, including me!! Also, he gets extremely nervous when he has to get up in front of people. He HATES being teased about girls. He adores his baby sister and will do anything to make her happy. He also loves to incessantly tease his little brothers, even though they get along pretty good most of the time!!

Marshall had his birthday party at the BC water park! We brought some water balloons, played some fun games, and the kids had a "splash"!

Pass the water balloon until the music stops and then throw it at someone!
Dodge ball water balloon style!!
Babby and Grandpa brought their bean bag toss which was a nice variation. Of course Marshall and his good buddy Hunter were in a serious competition with the bean bag toss!
Ofcourse we had the pinata. Unfortunately the pinata didn't last long. Marshall took one swing and it was gone. Luckily it was the birthday boy who smashed it!! The kids didn't seem to mind. They just wanted the candy!!

Babby and Sylvie surviving the heat!
Daddy cooling off our Sylvie!! She's loving it!!
Pizza and cupcake time! Quite the crew!!

These soccer cupcakes were discovered by Babby. She did most of the below beauties while I did the grass with the soccer rings. I couldn't have done it without her. She is the cake master!!
Marshall is so excited to blow out that candle! Can you see a sliver of Kason just as eager?!!
Make a wish!!

Brotherly love!! Marshall's B-day was hard on Kason because of all the attention Marshall got. It only happens once a year, whew!! Luckily Summer volunteered to take Kason for alot of the day which was so nice because it made it ALOT easier for me to get everything ready for the party! Kason was happy too because he got to play with his buddy Max!!

Present time! Marshall got no shortage of awesome presents!!

We gave a water blaster as a party favor which they played with at the party and got to take home!! The kids LOVED them!!
