Down at the pig farm.....

We decided to go on a field trip to the pig farm with our pre-school class since we were learning about baby animals this past month. Marshall held the piglet and said it felt like pink cake. Who knows?! Kason and I steered clear of these little creatures. Kason said the piglet's mommy was too scary. He was right!! My favorite part was when Marshall took his hat off and put it on the piglet. Unfortunately I didn't get a shot because the poor little piggy was scared out of its mind so it didn't last long. Everyone got to see peacocks, chickens, roosters, geese, cows, goats, and pigs. If you ask Marshall what his favorite part about the pig farm was he will say it was when he got to throw rocks in the water -- funny guy!! Farmer Bob was so nice, he sent us home with a box of potatoes!!

That picture made me miss the boys already!!! What a cool experience you put together for them. Pink Cake? I remember in college when TJ used to make tons of money jumping out of pink cakes, but I never thought about a pig feeling like it, props to Marshall. Love you guys, HI KASON, MARSHALL, & BRIGGY!!!

How fun! I have never even seen little piglets - that would be cool. Next time, I am in! I love the pink cake comment - and the throwing rocks in the water. That is classic for sure!

This post is from BLADE: sounds like fun...believe it or not we have a little bit of pig raising experience in our family...a certain someone whose name i wont reveal (starts with an e and ends with an r) competed in a pig raising contest with her local 4H when she was younger. Not only did her pig win first prize, but she managed to turn the event into a contest for the ages by riding her pig to victory (yes, literally RIDING her pig to victory)...this beautiful story about a little girl and her pig won my hear forever...now I'm married to her!

I bet the boys would have loved the pig farm! And what an awesome uncle Kevin. Maybe I need to watch super nanny to see how to MAKE my kids stay on the rug.
I heard everyones sick:( What a bummer! Everyone here is sick again too. Max is wheezing and has to take a breath after every 4 words or so. Way worse then when he had rsv! And it just hit like all of a sudden....can you just say freaking me out! Hunter has a fever of 102. And lucie has a runny nose and is starting to hack away. We gave max a breathing treatment tonight so we're hoping that helps. TJ told jon that at least no one was puking today. I'll call you tomorrow after conference.

Cute blog! What a fun trip to the farm. I am jelous of the nice looking weather. It just keeps snowing here. I want to take the kids to the zoo so bad and every time that I plan on going it snows. I can't wait for summer. Isn't it so cute how kids just tell it how it is, well cute most of the time!
