When Marshall got his adenoids taken out he was very brave. He wasn't scared one bit!! The doctor said he will have less allergies, less snoring and be able to breathe out of his nose, so that's why we got it done. The nurse gave him crayons and papers to color and said he was the best little boy she had ever seen! When we first got there I went into the next room because I had to feed Sylvie. He said "I don't want to go home yet mom!" Several hours later they called us back. The anesthesiologist gave him versed which made him VERY loopy. He said it was standard procedure any kids under 10. It took effect very quickly. He was not allowed to get out of the chair because of his wobbly legs!
He was so peaceful after the second awakening, and very sleepy! I love this picture! He went home and went to sleep after he was able to drink something. After the surgery he woke up and the first thing he said was "they didn't even take my adenoids out." He didn't remember a thing!! It was such an easy surgery. You can't even tell he had surgery, even though he tells everybody!!
Loopy Marshall on Versed... Sorry about the roller coaster! I was trying to calm down Sylvie at the same time

Wow, what a brave guy. We are proud of you Marshall. These pictures are wonderful.
I didn't even know he was going to do that! He was so brave! I am so happy it all went well - and I am especially happy that you got his goofiness on film! That made me laugh so hard! I love that he was so concerned about the crayons, and then just laughing over nothing. Too funny! That's awesome that he woke up and didn't even think they had done the surgery. Hope it worked!
What a big boy! I also heard he got a 100% on his kindergarten tests!!!! He is SOOOO smart- what a great kid!!
