Bowling 101...

Wait patiently for the bowling ball to return and then give the bowling ball to your brother and let him bowl.

Watch the bowling ball go down the lane upside down for the best view!!

Always let your youngest sibling take a turn, for this will make him VERY happy!!

Zoinks! Marshall is 4!!

This year we had a Scooby Doo mystery party for Marshall's 4th B-day party! It was a blast!! We started off playing a scooby doo matching game, and next we were going to open presents only the presents were missing!! A Birthday monster had stolen the presents!! The rest of the party was spent following the clues (which were on a cassette). Each tape recording led them to another game - unwrap the mummy, eat cake, knock down scooby pinata until finally they found the monster (dad) and he says "I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"

I loved that Marshall was very concerned about his missing presents! Everything went smoothly except that Kason truly was afraid that there was a monster and he started to cry. Daddy had to tell him that he was going to pretend to be a monster and Kason needed to help him trick everyone. This seemed to make him happy! All in all it was a very fun party!!

Lovin' the fourth of July

THE PARADE

The fourth of July is one of our favorite holidays, and it gets better and better the older the boys get! We started the day off by going to the Boulder Damboree Parade.

We sat at the very beginning so the boys got pretty much everything that was handed out!! Ofcourse their favorite thing was the candy, and they definitely scored in that department!!

The end of the parade turned into a full-blown water fight, which was nice because it was ridiculously HOT out there!! This is Brig armed and dangerous!! His favorite part of the parade was the water fights!! Marshall's favorite part was the Shriners in the little cars. Kason's favorite part was the horses in the street. He could NOT BELIEVE they let the horses out of the corrals and into the streets!! He got very excited about this!! "Look mommy, the horses are in the STREET!!!!"

After the parade we cooled off at the Pohe's pool and had a BBQ. Every year we get together with TJ's highschool buddies for the fourth!! It is always so fun to see everyone!!

This is Kason and his buddy Aroha! He's dancing around her - too funny!!

FIREWORKS

This year is the first year Marshall wasn't afraid of the fireworks. He even sat up on the fence with the big kids to watch them. We were soooo proud!!

I wish I could say the same for Kason and his buddy Roe! They booked it to the door after the first boom!! Kason was scared the fireworks would fall on him and burn him!! Too cute!!

Temple Night for FHE

So lately Marshall has been really interested in temples. Probably because that is the theme in primary this month and also because TJ and I go once a month switching off babysitting with our good friends the Christiansens. Anyways on Sunday he asked me if we could get a book which showed all the temples, luckily we had one. He spent most of the morning looking at it before church and he had all kinds of questions. He mostly wanted to know which temples daddy and I had visited, it was sooo cute! I love how he loves the gospel already!! Sometimes he will go in his room and just read the Book of Mormon (ofcourse he is really just looking at the pictures) but he really LOVES it!!

Because of this new interest in temples we decided to go to the Las Vegas temple for FHE. On the way to the temple Kason asked in a VERY excited tone "Will Jesus be there", it was just too precious!

Well, we knew it was closed on Mondays but we didn't realize all of the gates would be closed too! It's not exactly a hop, skip and a jump away!! Oh well, we were still able to show them the angel Moroni and atleast they got to see the temple up close. We will have to go back again when the gates are open! It was still a neat experience for the kids!!

Alien Sighting

We went to an alien party and it was "out of this world"!

Brig would NOT put on the alien wig!

We tried to give the boys spiky alien hair, but that didn't last long. They had too much fun in the pool! There were cool UFO's that lit up and you could throw them in the water. It was so much fun for the kids! Then, when it got darker, they brought out a ton of balls that glow in the dark -too much fun!!

Marshall made friends with the aliens quickly! He bounced with them in the bounce house and even danced with them!! It was hilarious!

Ah, our little aliens!!:)

Remember To Be Continued...

Well, toting Marshall on the back of the stroller obviously took its toll on our stroller. Though it was fun for a while, all good things must come to an end some time right? Anyways, much to his disappointment he had to walk through the parks, or should I say be carried through the parks!
The wheel fell off completely and we were getting a little nervous! Luckily daddy was able to fix it enough to last the remainder of our trip. Yah daddy!
